The Rembe Kub V Rupture Disc is designed specifically for installation between process equipment and safety relief valve. The Kub V is virtually leak tight, according to the company, preventing corrosives or other toxics from contacting the safety relief valve during normal operation. The Kub V is rated for high back pressure, reducing the time to conduct the periodic pressure test. The high back pressure rating allows the safety relief valve to be pressure tested “in-situ.” Kub V reportedly has an operating ratio of as high as 98%, reducing premature bursting and frequency of downtime, according to Rembe.
